Jennylyn wishes Angel and Luis well

Jennylyn Mercado wishes ex-boyfriend Luis Manzano and Angel Locsin well, now that they seem to be rekindling their romance. But Jennylyn wants to stay out of the picture.

"For now, I don't want to talk about it. Kung meron man issue about them, siguro sila na lang tanungin ninyo. Kasi ako, wala na ako sa posisyon para magsalita," Jennylyn said at the press conference of GMA's newest teleserye "Rhodora X" at Plaza Ibarra in Quezon City on Monday, January 20.
The Kapuso actress was very careful with her words when the press asked her about Luis and Angel, who is promoting her new teleserye, “The Legal Wife.”

Jennylyn refused to answer if the issue surprised her.

"Hindi ko alam kung anong isasagot ko. Sa ngayon, ayaw ko muna ng complications. Wala itong kinalaman sa akin and basta ako out na ako diyan."

Happily single

Months after her split with Luis, Jennylyn isn't ready to fall in love again.

"It's too soon. Hindi pa talaga. Parang I just came from a break-up and hindi pa kaya at wala akong plano kahit ano. Unahin ko muna yung trabaho ko, yung pamilya ko at yung sarili ko sa ngayon."

While other former couples reconcile, Jennylyn doesn't seem to be the type who gets back to a former boyfriend.

"Sa ngayon, iyon pa rin ang pananaw ko kasi ex nga eh."

Instead of dwelling on the past, what matters most to Jennylyn now are her family and career.

"I don't think kailangan ko pang magpaliwanag kung anong nangyari, or sinong may kasalanan. Hindi importante kung sino ang may kasalanan. Ang importante sa akin ngayon ay mag move on, kailangan maging masaya."

Mark Herras

Jennylyn topbills the new teleserye "Rhodora X," which also stars her former boyfriend Mark Herras, who happens to the the godfather of her son, Alex Jazz.

The two still remain friends even after their split years ago.

"Sampung taon na rin kasi magkasama ni Mark sa industriya. Sabay kami pumasok sa showbiz. Ang dami namin experiences together na hindi namin makakalimutan."

"Rhodora X," which starts airing in GMA on Monday, January 27, also stars Yasmien Kurdi, Glycol Mercado, Vaness Del Moral and Frank Magalona.
