Angelica Panganiban recently became the latest Asian celebrity to have been scolded by the Italian police for sitting on the historical ground known as the Spanish Steps.
As reported on Inquirer, the actress shared the incident on social media with a photo of her sitting on the steps just before she was chastised for it.
She wrote, "For almost 28 years, I have been in front of the audience. I know what it's like to be judged, and how people watched your every step, how to speak and fight for yourself. For sitting on the Spanish Steps... I was judged."
"Sitting is not allowed here. Sorry to the police," she added.
It is noted that the Italian government implemented the new rule to ensure the protection of its monuments. One can be fined up to P22,6000 if caught sitting on the said steps, though the police would only warn tourists most of the time.
Back in September, singer Jimmy Lin apologised after his wife shared a photo of her sitting on the same steps.

KAMI learned that the handsome celebrity was also asked regarding a past video of him where he was spotted casually crossing a street.
The actor is aware that the said simple video of him while walking accumulated so many views and even became a trending topic on social media.
He explained that he came from a meeting during that time and he needed to go to another place to meet some clients.
“I think people think it’s weird that they see me crossing the world… I was just going from one meeting to another,” he quipped.
“When I saw the video, I was like… ‘Why this has so many views? I’m just walking across the street.’ It makes me think what else can I do with that many views,” he added.”
When asked if he is aware of how prominent he has become, James expressed that he just needs to accept the reality that he is a public figure.
He also aired his honest thoughts about people requesting photos with him whenever he and his girlfriend Nadine Lustre go out for a date.
“On a regular day, I don’t think about that kind of thing… It’s something you just have to accept… In this industry, people know who I am, either you let it get to you and bother you… or you accept it…” he stressed.
“It’s fine with me [to be asked for a photo] as long as they ask properly. You just have to accept that it’s really like that…” he added.

However, KAMI learned that a particular name has recently caught the attention of netizens. Marjorie, Gretchen, and Claudine’s niece, Nicole Barretto has been making headlines on social media following her involvement in the reported scuffle.
Alexandra Nicole Barretto or Cole for short is the only daughter of JJ Barretto and Marichi Ramos. She recently turned 26 last June 7.
Nicole is also the eldest among her four siblings; Anton, Andrei, and MJ Barretto.
She has a son with Marvin Paolo Magno named, Marcus Magno.
Furthermore, Nicole is a licensed optometrist and graduated from Centro Escolar University back in 2018.
Aside from this, she was also part of Dani Barretto’s entourage during her wedding. Nicole served as a bridesmaid alongside Claudia Barretto, Bela Padilla, and Erich Gonzales.
As reported earlier by KAMI, Gretchen Barretto made headlines when she has been allegedly attacked by one of her nieces during the wake of her father, Miguel Alvir Barretto. The actress’s niece, Nicole Barretto, was reported to have spoken up about the incident in a private conversation with a netizen on social media.

Claudine Barretto posted a video on her Instagram of herself weeping in front of her late boyfriend Rico Yan’s tombstone last Wednesday, October 23, 2019.
The video was presumably taken a week before Miguel Barretto passed away. Claudine asked Rico to help her in taking care of her father who at the time was still in critical condition at the hospital.
In the video, Claudine said, “I’m so scared Rico, I’m scared to lose my dad. It’s not going to be the same anymore.” Many noticed that the video even had background music, specifically “Kahit Isang Saglit.”
This made netizens question the 40-year-old actress if this whole video was scripted.
