The comedian personally visited Liza abroad to gather some updates about the serious finger injury and the operation that the actress underwent.

Calvin Abueva has been suspended indefinitely by the Philippine Basketball Association for two incidents in separate games.

The Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters forward was also fined P70,000 for his actions.

Abueva was ejected from the game against TNT Katropa on Sunday after hitting import Terrence Jones with a clothesline tackle which sent the big man to the floor. According to league, it was "obviously a retaliatory act" because Jones hit him in the groin but the referees failed to call a foul.

Abueva was assessed a flagrant foul penalty 2 and slapped with P50,000 fine.

On Friday, he also figured in taunting incident with Ray Parks' girlfriend Maika Reyes. Abueva allegedly made lewd gestures towards Reyes and called her a sexist derogatory term.

Parks called out Abueva's behavior through the media, but The Beast aired his side through an Instagram video. He said Reyes started the spat by flashing him the dirty finger and appeared to claim that Reyes called him a monkey, a racist slur.

Reyes issued a statement responding to Abueva, saying that she only said "bye-bye" to him together with her friends and only gave him the finger after his sexual taunts.

Abueva was slapped an additional P20,000 for the incident.

This movie, which is currently being screened in cinemas, is the first feature film offering of the Vicente “Tito” Sotto-owned outfit VST Productions.

According to Direk Tony Reyes, they initially thought of tapping another comedian to bring life to Rodrigo Morelos (aka Boy Tokwa).

In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Direk Tony disclosed the first choice of the producers.

"Actually, nung una, gusto sana nila Joey de Leon. Pero nung nakita ko yung picture ni Boy Tokwa, kamukha sila ni Jose Manalo.

"Sabi ko sa kanila, mas maganda siguro kung si Jose."

Boy Tokwa is based on the true story of a con artist who only targets foreigners.
