According to PEP.Ph, the relationship of Adarna and Cruz has been on the rocks even before their son Elias Modesto’s first birthday last June 27, 2019. Accordingly, the live-in partners are now in a co-parenting set-up for their son.
Cruz’s old habit of being fond of alcohol is one of the speculated reasons their relationship didn’t last.
According to Salve Asis, entertainment editor of Pilipino Star Ngayon, it was Adarna who ended their relationship since she doesn’t feel the same way for him anymore. She allegedly told her ‘friend’ that she woke up not being in love with Cruz any longer.
A blind item on a gossip blog reported about a celebrity couple who were allegedly in a big fight that eventually led to their separation. No names were mentioned but the public were quick to link Adarna and Cruz to the issue.
Bothe Adarna and Cruz have remained mum about the separation rumors.
Adarna and Cruz’s love story started on the set of the situational comedy of ABS-CBN, Home Sweetie Home headlined by Cruz and Toni Gonzaga. From being a guest star, Adarna became a mainstay of the said sitcom.
It was in January 2017, rumors that there was something going on between Cruz and Adarna begin circulating which the actress claimed were not true.
However, the speculations between the two didn’t stop especially when they were seen together at some events being sweet and intimate with each other.
Adding fuel to the fire was their Bantayan Island, Cebu getaway that created a huge buzz in showbiz. This somehow answered questions about the real score between them.
It was in November 2017 when speculations about Adarna’s pregnancy exploded despite unconfirmed rumors about their relationship. In June 2018, the former daring actress gave birth to her first child with Cruz and named him “Elias Modesto.”
It was in the last quarter of 2017 when Cruz took an indefinite leave from showbiz after a video of him in a drunken state holding a knife surfaced online. The actor went on an indefinite leave from showbiz after facing criticisms arising from the video. It is still not sure when the award-winning actor will return, however, Charo Santos-Concio has already stated that she would accept Loydie whenever he wants to come back to ABS-CBN.

Although she’s been quite popular in the online scene for a while now, Ellen Adarna has hogged the spotlight recently due to her seemingly unintelligibly interview when she weighed in on the Vhong Navarro mauling. The said interview led to memes about her spreading online.

The 25-year-old actress-model rose to fame long before selfies became a hit by posting excessive amounts of solo photos on now-defunct social media platforms like MySpace and Friendster that led to the birth of many poser accounts that exploited her photos.
