Pacquiao vs Thurman official scorecards: Here’s how judges ended up with a split decision
Manny Pacquiao and Keith Thurman went the full 12 full rounds, Saturday night in Las Vegas. It was an entertaining contest, with Thurman having his moments, but Pacquiao scored a knockdown and many felt he had done enough to take the decision. This is why it came as a bit of a surprise when the scorecards were about to be read and they announced it as a split decision.
Judges Dave Moretti and Tim Cheatham both scored it as 115-112 for Pacquiao. Glenn Feldman on the other hand, was the lone judge that scored it for Thurman. He somehow gave him seven rounds — all but one since the 5th — and ended up with a 114-113 score for the American.
For what it’s worth, Bloody Elbow’s Fraser Coffeen and Mookie Alexander, along with Bad Left Hook, all scored the contest 115-112 for Pacquiao, same as the other two judges.
