The squabble between actors Bea Alonzo and Julia Barretto over Gerald Anderson has reached even the judiciary and Congress. On Wednesday, Supreme Court (SC) Associate Justice Marvic Leonen weighed in on the issue after Julia fired off a letter attacking Bea.
“Dear Bea and Julia, is he really worth it? #JustAsking,” the magistrate tweeted.
Muntinlupa Rep. Ruffy Biazon picked up the sharp one-liner, shared it and commented, “You know it has become a national issue when a justice of the SC asks a clarificatory question. Now I’m contemplating to file an inquiry in aid of legislation.”
Without directly mentioning their names, Sen. Maria Lourdes Nancy Binay joined in and tweeted, “Girls he’s not worth it. #KalmaLangGirls #MoveOn.”
Sixteen days after Bea posted cryptic posts that hinted on her boyfriend Anderson’s infidelity, Julia — the alleged cause of the couple’s breakup — finally aired her side.
On Tuesday night, Julia shared a photo of her and Bea on Instagram (@juliabarretto), along with a lengthy statement.
The 22-year-old said she was being “attacked” for allegedly cheating on her ex-boyfriend and leading man Joshua Garcia and “causing a relationship’s breakup.”
She clarified that she ended her relationship with Garcia four months ago, with no third party involved.
