Arci Muñoz is ecstatic about going back to school.
In August, she dropped by the University of the Philippines in Diliman to enrol in a language subject.
She told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in a recent interview,
"Right now, I just took a short course...parang elective gano'n. Foreign language po."
How long will it take to finish her new endeavor?
She has started attending her classes on September 7, and her schedule is every Saturday.
The Kapamilya actress continued, "So, papasok ako ng school. Na-miss ko kasi."
ARCI MUÑOZ STUDIES KOREAN LANGUAGE
Her first choice was to study Spanish.
Arci explained, "Kasi Spanish po ako so every time we have gatherings, half-Spanish po ako, e, so pag kasama ko yung mga family members ko, all of them can speak Spanish.
"Though I understand it’s hard. I'm not fluent. So parang yun po yung una kong gusto kong kunin.
"Pero...it’s so hard to get a slot sa UP. Sobrang hirap, parang first day pa lang, parang puno na lahat ng slots, so wala po akong mapuntahan."
The other two languages that, as she said, "gusto ko talagang pag-aralan," are Japanese and Korean.
She chose the latter.
BTS, also known as the Bangtan Boys, is a seven-member South Korean boy band formed in Seoul in 2013.
ARCI MUÑOZ NOSTALGIC ABOUT STUDYING IN U.P. AGAIN
On the day of registration, the 30-year-old star dropped by the Palma Hall, UP's main building.
Her August 19 post read, "Pure Nostalgia!
During the interview, Arci admitted to missing her college days. She then took up a two-year certificate course in Theater Arts.
"Doon po ako nag-aral, college po. Nag-aral po akong theatre, e, sa UP. One year po ako sa UP. Kasi two years po iyon, e."
With regard to being a student again, she said, "Na-miss ko din, e.
ARCI MUÑOZ'S REASON FOR GOING BACK TO SCHOOL
Partly, the mean comments of some netizens motivated her to study again.
"So yun po, parang gusto ko lang… e, nakakatawa yung reaksiyon ng mga tao parang when I posted that on Instagram, I was in the campus, Parang sabi nila, 'O, baka maging NPA ka! Sabi ko, Ano ba iyan!
Puwede bang maging masaya na lang kayo? Mag-aaral ako. Wag na kayong… just be happy, at least be happy for me."
Her other reason was mentioned in her September 13 post: "We cannot ignore the importance of education in our lives."
She also told PEP.ph, "Sabi ng mommy ko, talagang kailangan naming tapusin talaga kasi lahat kaming magkakapatid, gusto niya [makatapos]."
